Why XP is better than Vista

On equally aged systems this should be considered:

  • Windows XP Service Pack 3 deployment time: 20 minutes
  • Windows Vista Service Pack 1 deployment time: 90 minutes

    Out of curiosity, what are the full download sizes of both service packs?

    XP: 316 meg
    Vista: 440 meg (I think)

    You can fetch both via Windows Update I think at ~40 megs each though.

    I just installed Vista SP1 on Sandra's shiny new ASUS G2S-B2. Guess what? It didn't take 90min. It didn't even take 60min. Not quite 30 even! Nice laptop. :D
